Sudan (Arabic: السودان Al-Sudan) is the third largest country in Africa
and sixteenth largest in the world, bordering
Egypt, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Ethiopia, Libya, and South Sudan.
Getting a visa for Sudan is an expensive hit-and-miss affair, but if you do manage to get in,
and you stick to the safe areas, you will probably have a memorable experience.
The Sudanese people are very hospitable, and you can visit some awesome
tourist attractions without even seeing another tourist.

Addis Ababa / I applied for sudan visa today and they said it will come tomorrow.
The bag room in detroit is closing on the 6th and my bag is inside.
I was thinking to come back to pick it up and work for a week then go back to Niger and Sudan together.
The luggage will be stored in a closet they told me. I'm now going to Khartoum today.

I arrived to Khartoum. Ethiopia told me I overstated my transit visa and I had to pay 50 usd.
I got on plane and just arrived. I'll organize tomorrow the permission to Meroe.
The bus leaves on Friday to those Nubian Pyramids.

More than 200km from the Sudanese capital Khartoum,
the remains of an ancient city rise from the arid and
inhospitable terrain like a science-fiction film set.
