Kyrgyzstan situated in Central Asia and circumscribed by China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Kyrgyzstan, a fabulous Central Asian country, is very popular with tourists and still shows great tourism potential. A country of fascinating natural sites, a grandiose mountain kingdom often referred to as “Central Asian Switzerland”.
The Tien Shan system of mountain ranges covers 80% of its area, featuring the extremely high mountains Pobeda Peak (7,439m), Lenin Peak(7,134m) and Khan-Tengri Peak (6,995m). Lovers of mountaineering, trekking, downhill skiing, snowboarding and other adventure tourism activities regard Kyrgyzstan as one of the world’s best vacation destinations.
Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Lake, the world’s second largest mountain lake (after Titicaca in the Andes), makes the country a wonderful beach resort destination as well.
Bishkek and Osh, the major cities of the country, are also worth visiting.
Since recently jayloo tourism has been rapidly growing in Kyrgyzstan. Stay in the local shepherds’ yurts. (A yurt is a strong circular domed dwelling structure made of skins or felt stretched over a collapsible lattice framework and used by the nomadic peoples of Asia.)
Once in Kyrgyzstan, tourists also enjoy the intrinsic hospitality of the local people, exotic Kyrgyz cuisine and most interesting local traditions carefully preserved and practiced.

I arrived on Friday evening to Bishkek and Malika's family met me at the bus station and we started the 6 hour drive to the village of Chaek in Narin province, where we spent the weekend.
I toured that small village, going to see the park of statues, the cemetery, and the local stores. Maliki goes there during her holidays because it is her parent's home village. She will be going to the US to study abroad in Annandale-On-Hudson in New York State for one semester.
We spent the weekend in the village then returned to Bishkek on Sunday afternoon, where she gave me a tour of the capital with her friend, Elena. On Monday, I am applying for my visa for Afghanistan.

I will pick up my Afghan visa tomorrow by 4pm and then I only have 10 days left.
They told me it is valid for 3 months, so I don't have to go right away.
Once I get it, I will go to Almaty to catch a flight to Dushanbe. From there, there is only once a week flight to Kabul, but I wanted to take a bus to Mazare Sarif.
Otherwise, I have to fly to Dubai or Istanbul just to fly to Kabul (it is 5 hours each way). I had to pay $210 for next day service otherwise it is $160 for waiting 9 days. I will wait here in Bishkek until tomorrow.

I was walking and crossed a street. As I ran across, my left foot fell into a grill so I fell and my left knee got scratched. Now there is a hole in my pants.
I left Bishkek to Almaty and I'll fly to Dushanbe tomorrow morning.
